Allen Telecom (now Andrew Corp.)
SmartCell: A cellular base station. Wrote installation and operation manuals with engineers’ assistance, worked with draftsmen on mechanical drawings, produced some simple drawings.
Wireless Measurement System: Cellular coverage test equipment. Worked with developers and hands-on use of software to write operating software manuals for different systems. Illustrated with screen prints.

Also produced installation and operation manuals for repeaters, antennas, and antenna boosters; an on-line help file for an operating software; and manufacturing instructions for Wireless Measurement System.

ADMMicro
ADM-1204 and ADM-3311: Electrical submeasurement devices. Worked with products for user documentation; setup and usage.

American Electric Power (Datapult division since sold)
Datapult: Electrical submeasurement device. Worked with designers and dialup to device for extensive documentation on kernel and operating software. Used screen prints and simple circuit board drawings for illustrations.

Crown Simplimatic (now Simplimatic Automation)
Loader/Unloader: Circuit board manufacturing line loader and unloader devices. Wrote installation and operation instructions. Illustrated with screen prints, simple drawings, and photographs.
Label Placer: Manufacturing device that places labels on printed circuit boards. Worked with manufacturing engineers to write installation, operation, and maintenance manual. Illustrated with photos, screen prints, and simple line drawings.

Ericsson (Lynchburg plant since closed)
Telephony Cable modem: Blue Ridge Labs division was developing a device with telephony. Wrote and compiled data for training slides. Conducted extensive research on cable modems and Internet telephony prior to the start of the project.

I also worked on other, smaller jobs with clients who needed assistance with documentation. Also, produced some flyers, brochures, and other projects for non-profit organizations as a free service.
